The Jets’ new (for now) backup quarterback confirmed here yesterday the pair made that bid Friday night at the live auction before his golf tournament benefiting the Tim Tebow Foundation.
Officials from Tebow’s charity refused to identify the husband and wife except to say they had donated to Tebow before and they plan to have underprivileged children from their area share in the outing.
“It’s very humbling,” Tebow said yesterday after his one-day tournament at the famed TPC Sawgrass Stadium Course.
