Chinese playboy hits back

The son of China’s disgraced power couple broke the family’s silence to deny he was a privileged playboy.

“I have never driven a Ferrari,” Bo Guagua said — countering claims that he once escorted the daughter of the US ambassador in China in a red sports car.

Bo, the 24-year-old son of deposed Communist leader Bo Xilai and his powerful wife, Gu Kailai, also claimed he was a scholarship student and denied he had rotten grades.

“Like many other university students, I also devoted time and energy to extracurricular activities” while at Oxford, Bo, now a Harvard graduate student, wrote to the Harvard Crimson student newspaper.

As the scandal spread about his parents’ downfall and his mother’s possible involvement in murder, photos surfaced of Bo at Oxford, including one in which he was bare-chested, wearing makeup and apparently inebriated.
