The Transportation Security Administration — after a barrage of complaints from celebrities and everyday fliers about touchy-feely agents — would add “passenger advocates” at major airports to help people file complaints, officials said yesterday.
Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano revealed the agency’s plans during a Senate hearing, in which she said she “absolutely” supports anti-groping advocates.
High-profile complainants include Israeli supermodel Bar Refaeli, who last week detailed on Twitter her encounter with a female TSA agent who “left no doubt about her sexual preferences.”
And a screener was too rough with Rep. Francisco Canseco (R-Texas) and hurt his private parts, he told Politico yesterday.
