Building in Harlem collapses

A Harlem residential building undergoing renovations collapsed this afternoon, officials said.

Rescuers rushed to the building at 110 West 123rd St. after the report at 4:30 p.m.

Firefighters were not sure if anyone was injured in the collapse, or if anyone was trapped inside.

Late in March, the city issued a permit allowing structural reinforcement of the five-story residential building, which is next door to a community garden.
