La Guardia worst US airport

It didn’t take a rocket scientist to reach this conclusion: It’s no fun flying out of La Guardia!

Travel & Leisure magazine named it the nation’s worst major air hub for customer comfort.

T+L said La Guardia’s baggage operation, check-in lines and security system all fell woefully short.

“Dilapidated La Guardia hasn’t aged well,” according to the mag.

La Guardia’s metro-area neighbors, JFK and Newark, didn’t fare much better.

The two airports were Nos. 4 and 5, respectively. on the bad list. The mag tore into JFK for its long check-in lines, and Newark for cleanliness issues.

On JFK: “You will wait — and wait — in check-in and security lines, likely wait again for your luggage.”

On Newark: “It leads the other two New York–area airports, but that’s not saying much.”

T+L listed Minneapolis-St. Paul International the best of 22 major US hubs.

MSP won points for quick check-in and security lines and its multitude of dining and shopping options.
