Baldwin ‘stalker’ back in court

Alec Baldwin’s blonde and perky alleged stalker — and self-described ex-lover — came to court in Manhattan this morning, providing pretty prey for a flurry of New York and French news photographers but little in the way of new developments.

“Je t’aime New York!” French Canadian actress and model Genevieve Sabourin, 40, said as she left court smiling, wearing a filmy tan blouse, short black skirt and high-heeled beige patent leather shoes.

“I love the United States,” she told reporters. “I believe I’m a New Yorker, sometimes! My heart is in harmony with the place, and the people.”

“With my lawyers, we are going to solve this misunderstanding,” she added.

Sabourin, of Montreal, signed an order of protection extending for another two months the court’s prohibition on her having any contact with the newly-engaged “30 Rock” star. Then she left court with attorney Maurice Sercarz.

“My client is not guilty of stalking or harassment,” the lawyer said, explaining that the charges require proof that Baldwin was annoyed and alarmed and that Sabourin had no legitimate reason for contacting him — all untrue, the lawyer said.

“Once we are able to establish a context for these contacts we will be able to convince the DA and all involved that the context was legitimate,” he said.

Asked to elaborate on Sabourin’s prior insistence that she’d had a physical relationship with Baldwin, 54, Sercarz said only, “I’ not here to cast aspersions on Mr. Baldwin. I’m not here to describe the nature of the relationship to the media.”

Then he added, “There’s a time and place for everything. The facts will emerge…there was much more to this story than appeared in the media.”

Sabourin is accused of sending bizarre, love-professing emails and text messages to Baldwin — telling him she loved him, wanted to have his baby and needed cash.

She was arrested April 8 after allegedly trying to gain access to Baldwin’s Greenwich Village apartment.

Baldwin has said he was only trying to help Sabourin professionally. The two had met back in 2002 on the set of the Eddie Murphy movie “The Adventures of Pluto Nash,” in which Baldwin had a small role and Sabourin worked as a publicist.

Baldwin took her to dinner once in the fall of 2010, as a favor to a mutual friend, but only to give her career advice, according to the criminal complaint.

She is free without bail, and must return to court July 26.
