Whitney tribute

Chaka Khan will perform a tribute to her friend Whitney Houston at the Apollo Hall of Fame gala.

The legendary theater on West 125th Street in Harlem confirmed yesterday that the Grammy Award-winning singer of “I Feel for You” will go on in the late pop diva’s honor.

Lionel Richie and the late Etta James are to be inducted on June 4.

“Soul Train” creator Don Cornelius and the songwriter Nick Ashford will also be honored posthumously.

Richie first performed on the Apollo stage in the early 1970s. The “Hello” singer said he is thrilled he’s being added to the hall.

James, known for her stirring rendition of “At Last,” first sang at the Apollo in 1957 and again in the ’60s.

Past inductees include Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder and the late Michael Jackson.
