Arjun: The Warrior Prince

Disney is billed as a co-presenter of this animated epic developed by the Indian communications conglomerate UTV before its takeover by the Mouse House last year.

Even though the title character vaguely resembles Disney’s Tarzan, nobody is going to mistake the less-than-state-of-the-art, computer-game-style 2-D animation for the work of the American parent, much less its Pixar subsidiary.

Drawn from the ancient Sanskrit epic “The Mahabharata,” this leisurely paced ‘toon tells the story of the heroic archer Arjun in fairly generic fashion, with character development on par with ’90s American Saturday morning television.
