Actor Michael McKean suffers broken leg after being hit by car

Actor Michael McKean, who has starred in classic comedies like “This is Spinal Tap” and “Best in Show,” suffered a broken leg Tuesday afternoon after a car smashed into him on the Upper West Side.

McKean was struck shortly before 3 p.m. as he was walking at West 86th Street and Broadway.

McKean, 64, was rushed to St. Luke’s Hospital. Besides the broken leg, doctors are checking to see if he suffered any other broken bones, his manager said.

“Hopefully, he’ll be fine,” Harriet Sternberg told The Post.

“He has sustained multiple injures and we are trying to find out the extent of other injuries,” she said.

The three passengers in the vehicle were also taken to the hospital with minor injuries, FDNY said.

No criminality was immediately suspected in the crash, police said.

McKean is currently starring on Broadway in Gore Vidal’s “The Best Man.”

“He’s upset about missing his curtain,” Sternberg said.

“He’s never missed a performance in his career.”
