Peter Buffett has inherited father Warren Buffett’s Midas touch.
Buffett, an Emmy winner, composer and philanthropist, just sold his three-bedroom, three-bathroom condo at the formerly troubled One Madison Park for $4.25 million in an all-cash deal. The 1,962-square-foot, three-bedroom, three-bathroom apartment was listed for $4.1 million before a bidding war, which was won by an unnamed buyer in the finance industry.
One Madison Park, which went into bankruptcy in 2010 and was riddled with lawsuits, is now being taken over by Related Companies. Related has settled many of the legal claims at the building and plans to complete construction of the building and put unsold units back on the market.
Buffett and his wife, Jennifer, bought the unit in 2009 for $3.56 million. The 18th-floor corner unit has floor-to-ceiling glass-curtain walls, a chef’s kitchen, spa-like bathrooms and a large dining room with Empire State Building views.
Prudential Douglas Elliman broker Yoko Sanada declined to comment. Buffett, who could not be reached, spends much of his time upstate when he is not traveling.
Smoove move
Actor and stand-up comedian Jerry Brooks (pictured), who goes by the stage name J.B. Smoove and is perhaps best known for playing Leon on “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” has closed on an 843-square-foot, one-bedroom condo at One Brooklyn Bridge Park for $524,398. The loft-style unit includes a home office.
The new development at 360 Furman St. is the only residential building in the 85-acre Brooklyn Bridge Park. Brokerage firm MNS, which handles the building’s sales, declined to comment.
Lorber’s lair
Prudential Douglas Elliman broker Michael Lorber (below right) — and son of PDE boss Howard Lorber — isn’t just selling real estate on Bravo’s “Million Dollar Listing New York.” He’s also buying.
The bachelor just closed on a $1.3 million Palm Beach home on Orange Grove Road. The two-bedroom, 2 1/2-bathroom residence is 1,597 square feet and was listed for $1.49 million. Built in 1952, the house was renovated in 2003 and includes a pool in the back garden and direct access to the beach. Lorber’s broker was Senada Adzem of PDE’s Boca Raton office.
Adzem has just announced the $9.85 million penthouse listing at 3700 South Ocean Blvd. in Highland Beach, Fla. The mega-apartment, owned by Shepard Osherow, co-founder and COO of wealth-management firm Sanford Bernstein, is billed as the largest penthouse in Palm Beach County. It’s actually a combination of four apartments into a 9,290-square-foot unit with nine terraces.
Adzem will be at New York’s Le Cirque on June 21, hosting a wine-tasting event to promote the property, and she plans to throw another event in the Hamptons.
Status update
Mom-and-pop investors might want to de-friend Facebook, but the company’s early insiders are still making millions — and looking to buy New York trophy properties.
We hear that one unnamed West Coast-based Facebook insider has flown to Manhattan twice to look at TriBeCa’s 144 Duane St., a sprawling multifamily townhouse priced at $49.5 million — up from last month’s $45 million price.
The eight-bedroom, 10-bathroom, six-floor home includes an 11,000-square-foot owner’s triplex penthouse that comes with 2,775 square feet of landscaped roof-deck and terrace space. The penthouse also features a gym and a half basketball court.
The townhouse also has two renovated 4,000-square-foot rental units and a 7,750-square-foot ground-floor “high-end showroom.” The 1862 limestone building has ceiling heights that range from 12 to 17 feet and an elevator.
Listing broker Matthew Gulker of Prudential Douglas Elliman says there is already one bid on the property.

That the Kips Bay Boys and Girls Club, which is having its annual Decorator Show House at the Aldyn on 60 Riverside Blvd. through June 14, has a storied history. Jennifer Lopez and Kerry Washington were members of the club, and Gladys Knight recorded an original song, “The Dream,” with the club’s choir. Designers at this year’s Show House include Bunny Williams, Jamie Drake and Thom Filicia.
