Motorcyclist struck, killed by ambulance

An ambulance racing to an emergency call with lights and sirens on struck and killed a motorcyclist on a Brooklyn street Saturday, officials said.

Jesus Santiago, 46, a father of three, was riding his Harley Davidson on 63rd Street near Fourth Avenue in Sunset Park around 6:20 p.m. when the tragic smashup occurred, cops said.

“His body looked like he was lifeless,” said witness Johnny Rosas, 20.

Santiago was rushed to Lutheran Hospital where he died.

The ambulance did not have a patient inside and was headed as backup to two other EMTs were treating an intoxicated patient who was combative, the FDNY said.

The EMTs in the accident suffered minor injuries.
