Yankees have ‘no-no’ doubt about Mets ace

In case the Yankees needed a reminder, Johan Santana showed them how dominant he can be.

Santana will be a week removed from pitching the first no-hitter in Mets history when he takes the ball for the opener of the Subway Series at Yankee Stadium on Friday night.

“He’s always a great pitcher,” Mark Teixeira told The Post. “When he’s healthy, he’s one of the best pitchers in baseball, and he showed that with his no-hitter.”

The Mets ace has thrown consecutive complete-game shutouts.

“Obviously, [Santana’s] going to have a lot of momentum going,” Curtis Granderson said. “That’s the beautiful thing about baseball, you have the opportunity to go out there and either redo or change what you did the last time out there. Hopefully, we aren’t on the other end of a no-hitter.”

Granderson seemed excited at the prospect of facing Santana again. The two battled against each other regularly from 2004-07, when Granderson played for the Tigers and Santana for the AL Central rival Twins.

“I haven’t faced him in a really long time, so it will be interesting to go out there and see what he’s got,” Granderson said.

The Yankees have hit Santana well in the past. Santana’s 4.18 ERA against the Bombers is the lefty’s fourth-highest total against any team. Regardless, Yankees hitters said they will be ready.

“There aren’t really nerves, but we have to bring our A-game because he has the opportunity to go out there and shut us down,” Teixeira said.
