Sheryl Crow reveals she has a benign brain tumor

LAS VEGAS — Country-pop singer Sheryl Crow revealed she has a benign brain tumor.

The tumor was discovered in November but Crow, 50, said she is staying upbeat.

“It’s benign, so I don’t have to worry about it,” she said in an interview with the Las Vegas Review-Journal Tuesday. “I worried about my memory so much that I went and got an MRI. And I found out I have a brain tumor,” the Grammy-winner explained.

“And I was, like, ‘See? I knew there was something wrong.'”

Crow, who battled breast cancer in 2006, suffered a memory lapse onstage at a May concert in Florida, when she forgot the lyrics to her hit song, “Soak Up the Sun.”

“I’m 50, what can I say? My brain’s gone to s–t,” she told the crowd about the flub.

Crow did not detail what treatment she is undergoing but said she will continue performing and noted she is working on her eighth studio album.
