$poiler alert: NY kids win brat race

Spoiled children in New York City are as common as our pigeons, according to a new survey.

In fact, Big Apple parents blow more cash on their kids than parents in any other city in the nation, reports Bundle.com, a Web site dedicated to revealing how people spend their money.

The new survey, which used data culled from 36 of the biggest cities in the United States, found that kids in Manhattan and Brooklyn are showered with nearly double what kids get elsewhere — that averaged nationally $12,000 for a child’s first year.

The finding comes as no surprise — both boroughs are the two most expensive places to live in the country, according to the Council for Community and Economic Research.

It also doesn’t hurt that some of the best toy stores on Earth, including FAO Schwarz and a gargantuan Toys ‘R’ Us in Times Square, can be found here.

Some of the world’s wealthiest parents are also among the 1.6 million people who live in Manhattan.

After Manhattan (No. 1) and Brooklyn (No. 2), Miami, Minneapolis and Tulsa, Okla., rounded out the top five.

Madison, Wis., finished dead last in the survey.
