‘Jersey Shore’ cast to bid farewell: report

Seaside Heights can breathe a sigh of relief.

The popular New Jersey summer spot will be without its most-famous guidos and guidettes after this summer, as the sixth season of MTV’s hit reality show “Jersey Shore” will be the last featuring the current cast.

According to In Touch Weekly, when Snooki and Co. arrived in Seaside Heights, the production crew sat them down and informed the cast that this would be their last hurrah.

“An executive producer announced that this season will be the last,” an insider told InTouch. “She stressed to the cast that fans will remember them for this season, not the first, so they should bring their A game.”

The eight stars of the MTV ratings juggernaut, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, Nicole ‘Snooki’ Polizzi, Jenni ‘JWoww’ Farley, Paul DelVecchio, Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino, Samantha Giancola, Vinny Guadagnino and Deena Cortese, did not let the news get them down.

“They decided to make the most of their final days at the Shore,” the insider said.

In the final season for the cast, Polizzi will be living separately from the rest of the cast due to her pregnancy and desire to avoid consuming alcohol and the cast’s hard-partying ways.

Since the show’s inception in 2009, ‘Jersey Shore’ has filmed five seasons in Seaside Heights, Miami and Florence, Italy. DelVecchio, Polizzi and Farley have all starred in spinoff series’ that have also aired on MTV.
