Light bulb-eating ‘bank robber’ jailed after he can’t make bail

Lights out!

The dimwit bank robbery suspect who holds the world speed record for champing down a light bulb spent the night in jail after he was unable to make the $100,000 bail imposed during his arraignment yesterday in Brooklyn Criminal Court.

R.J. Williams, 22, is accused of knocking off 11 banks in four boroughs, including three in Brooklyn on June 1.

Prosecutors said he he used the same note — “This is a robbery. Give large bills. No dye packs.” — in each of those heists, which netted him $3,000.

“We realize this is his first arrest, but due to the seriousness of the crime and the brazen nature of his conduct, we ask that he be remanded,” said assistant district attorney Jordan Rossman.

Williams can wolf down a light bulb in just 33.86 seconds, according to recordsetter.com.
