Mad rush for $245 ‘Kanye’ sneaks

New York gals might love their Manolos, but some guys will sleep in the streets for a week for a pair of Air Yeezy 2s.

Sneaker mania hit the city yesterday as the limited, $245 Kanye West design flew off a select few shelves.

“It’s been an experience,” said Francisco Torres, 33, of Harlem, who was first in line at Jimmy Jazz, on 125th Street, after camping out there since last Sunday.

“I actually got passes to New York Sports Club, up the street, and I’d go and take showers every morning and then come back to the line,” he said — adding that he planned to resell the sneakers online.

They were fetching up to $6,000 yesterday on eBay.

The shoes have anaconda-texture leather, a spiked back end, glow-in-the-dark soles and a signature front strap — and buyers fearing for their lives if they wear them.

“I’m going to wait until some of the heat dies down before I put them on,” said Jimmy Works, 23 — who drove up from Baltimore to the Nike store in SoHo.

Another buyer demanded anonymity for fear someone in his neighborhood might find out he owned a pair and try to rob him.
