MTV wants to stay in business with Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi as long as she’ll have them, the network says — and that includes her promised wedding.

Snooki is, in a real dollars-and-cents sense, the Kim Kardashian of MTV.

And like her reality TV counterpart, Polizzi envisions an MTV special for her wedding to Jionni LaValle, the father of her soon-to-be-born son.

“I mean, I film pretty much everything already, so it only makes sense to film the wedding,” she tells The Post. “I would love that, to have my fans, like, see my wedding and stuff like that.”

Could MTV fit such an event into its schedule?

“I’ll take it,” says Jacquelyn French, senior vice president of series development and executive in charge of “Jersey Shore.”

“How much fun would that be?”

The ceremony won’t happen, though, until after the baby is born. “Obviously, I want to drink Champagne at my own wedding,” says Polizzi.

The Snooki pregnancy has revitalized the “Jersey Shore” franchise. On “Keeping Up With the Kardashians,” family members branch out to do their own series and wedding specials but always come back to the original show. Now that Polizzi and BFF Jenni “JWoww” Farley have wrapped the first season of their spinoff, “Snooki & JWoww,” they have both returned to Seaside Heights to film Season 6 of “Jersey Shore.”

“I think it’s fair to say Snooki is a very big part of MTV right now. She’s someone we want to be in business with,” French says. “Her life continues to get more interesting and fabulous. We would love to take that ride with her.”

Polizzi, 24, announced she was pregnant with her first child in March, just weeks after MTV officially announced she would star in a “Jersey Shore” spinoff with Farley. She’s due in the fall.

What looked like another summer party show — “ ‘Laverne & Shirley’ for 2012” was how MTV promoted the 12-week series — quickly changed directions when Polizzi announced her surprise pregnancy.

On “Snooki & JWoww,” viewers are more likely to see Polizzi have a sonogram than go shoe shopping.

In the series’ premiere tonight, Farley, 26, is shown packing her bags for “one last hurrah before I turn 30.” But before they sign the lease on their Jersey City apartment, Polizzi springs her surprise.

“I really need to tell you something,” Polizzi says. “I’m pregnant . . . and engaged.”

At the MTV offices, Polizzi told The Post she hopes the little boy she is expecting this fall is the first of many with LaValle.

“I want to have like four [kids]. Because I was adopted — an only child — my family’s very small. And Jionni’s family is very big, and I love that so I want to build my own big family. So, four kids would be awesome,” she says.

Polizzi and Farley are already talking about plotlines for a possible Season 2, and they aren’t just about Polizzi’s family-in-progress.

“I feel like he’s going to propose soon,” Polizzi says of Farley’s boyfriend, Roger Mathews. “It would be cool if he did [propose on camera] for Season 2. I know Jionni didn’t want to, but now Roger has to. Then you can have that footage forever!”

Farley, whose storyline has taken a back seat to Polizzi’s, is hoping for the same thing. “Yeah, I mean, I would like that to happen,” she says, beaming. “It could be like how people do it at their homes, with, like, the dad recording. That’s how I think I’d have to convince him.’”

All of the talk of engagement and families doesn’t surprise French.

“Snooki has grown up a lot,” says French. “She’s still as funny as ever, and crazy things come out of her mouth. But she’s taking the pregnancy very seriously. She’s very excited about becoming a mother. She’s not drinking. Not partying.”
