A taxi driver in a jealous rage ran his baby mama off a Bronx highway early today and then hacked her to death as she sat trapped in the overturned SUV she was driving, police sources said.

Dionis Espinal, 31, of the Bronx was waiting outside the Paradise Motor Inn on Boston Road when he spotted Katherine German, 20, leaving a room with a Yonkers man shortly before 4 a.m., the sources said.

German, who had Espinal’s baby in June, and Jose Jiminez, 28, got into a Honda Pilot and were heading to the New England Thruway near Pelham Parkway with Espinal in hot pursuit.

The suspect – driving his lime-green outer borough taxi – rammed the SUV, sending it flying over a concrete barrier before it crash landed on its side on a bike path, sources said.

The madman then allegedly leapt from his cab and repeatedly plunged a large kitchen knife into German, stabbing her in the chest, neck and face.

Cops arrested Espinal, who was also charged with assault last May after allegedly punching the then eight-months pregnant German in the face, and recovered the knife at the scene.

He’s now charged with murder, weapon possession and criminal contempt for violating an order of protection, law enforcement sources said.

The victim’s mom, Fernanda Rivera, 41, said Espinal was a serial abuser consumed by jealousy.

“This guy killed her without compassion. I want justice for my daughter. There was domestic violence. There was a lot of bad things. All the time there was something for no reason. They were together three years. They were fighting for the baby. He was very jealous. All the time he was following her. If he saw her with other guys he said he wanted to kill her,” she said.

The suspect’s step-sister, Debra Rosado, 40, freaked out when she learned of the horrific killing.

“No, please! I can’t believe this,” she screamed before tearfully describing the couple’s turbulent life together.

“They break up and get back together, on and off. That’s how it always was. They just had a baby together. She was born in July,” she said.

Fellow cabbies at Kiss Car Service in the Bronx were stunned at the brutal slaying.

“He had his TLC license suspended because he encountered a problem with his girlfriend,” Martinez continued. “My boss said to him, ‘Take it easy. If you can’t live with her then move away, just move on.’ What can I say, human beings are strange.”
