Louis reigns

Since 2009, when his critically lauded FX sitcom “Louie” debuted, Louis C.K. has possessed a comedic Midas touch — he’s scored three Emmys, a Grammy and a Golden Globe nomination. On Saturday night, the rotund redhead’s recent golden streak continues with his new HBO stand-up special, “Louis C.K.: Oh My God.”

Shot in February at the Celebrity Theatre in Phoenix, Ariz., the hourlong concert captures C.K., 45, delivering a no-frills performance (he also directed and executive produced the special), and lands belly laughs thanks to his fearless jokes. C.K. doesn’t shy away from sensitive topics, like discussing his breakup with wife Alix Bailey (“Marriage is a larva stage for true happiness, which is divorce”) or sharing custody of his two daughters (“Who can’t be a good father for half of every week?”). “Oh My God” documents a confident, almost cocky comic at the top of his game.

Parents hawking kids

How many toys can your spouse get your toddler to clean up in a minute? How many cookies can your wife get your child to stack while time runs out? Which snack will your 2-year-old choose to eat? And would you bet money on it? All of these terribly interesting questions will be answered in the pathetic new game show “Bet on Your Baby.” Five families with toddlers between the ages of 2 to 3 1/2 years old, will play to see how well they can guess their child’s next move in the hopes of earning money towards their college fund. The game takes place on two stages: On one, a shiny game show studio with a cheering audience, one parent places a bet, while on the other, the parent takes the child to a play room called “The Babydome” where the child determines the outcome of the game completely unaware of the stakes that are on the line. Each family plays a self-contained, individual challenge against the house -— meaning that they’re only competing against themselves, not against other families. Later on, the five families return to play for the chance to advance to the final round “Smash for Cash,” in which parents of one toddler will have five tries to hammer open piggy banks, one of which contains a $50,000 college fund. The host is actress Melissa Peterman, of ABC Family’s “Baby Daddy.”

Up the down staircase

How will “The Office” exit NBC? Gracefully? Ironically? Lamely? Thursday’s episode will provide some clues. This is the premise; the elevator goes out, and everyone is forced to take the stairs. Will hilarity ensue? Dwight (Rainn Wilson) forces Stanley (Leslie David Baker) to do an important sales call. Pam (Jenna Fischer) and Jim (John Krasinski) find comfort in talking with Nellie (Catherine Tate) and Toby (Paul Lieberstein) about marital troubles. Meanwhile, Angela (Angela Kinsey) stands by her man. Ed Helms, Phyllis Smith and Kate Flannery also star.
