Mayor Bloomberg will hop The Pond for his first post-City Hall role, serving as chair of the Serpentine Gallery in London.
Hizzoner was formerly a trustee on the art gallery’s board, and has donated funds toward a satellite site launched this week.
“When government can’t do everything, private philanthropy has to step in,” Bloomberg said in London this week, according to the London Evening Standard. His last day in office is Dec. 31.
