DNA clue in ricin case

OXFORD, Miss. — A dust mask tossed by the suspect in the ricin-mail case tested positive for ricin and for the man’s DNA, an FBI agent testified yesterday.

James Everett Dutschke, 41, of Tupelo, Miss., was the “major contributor” of DNA to the mask, said FBI agent Stephen Thomason.

Dutschke is accused of making ricin, the poison sent on April 8 to President Obama, Sen. Roger Wicker and a local judge.
