David Letterman will stick around to battle Jimmy Fallon and Jimmy Kimmel at 11:35 p.m.
CBS announced Friday that Letterman, 66, has signed a contract extension taking him through 2015, when Letterman will celebrate 22 years hosting “The Late Show.”
It also means he’ll compete directly with Fallon — who’s replacing Jay Leno on “The Tonight Show” in February.
He’ll also compete with Kimmel, whose “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” which airs on ABC, joined the 11:35 p.m. crew last January.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Letterman reportedly earns around $28 million a year.
