Cher joining ‘The Voice’

Cher will lead the parade of A-listers who are joining NBC’s “The Voice” for its upcoming season.

The iconic songstress, 67, will work with “Voice” judge Blake Shelton as an “adviser” to his roster of contestants on the singing talent/competition show.

In addition to Cher — who performed on the show’s season finale in May — Ed Sheeran, Ryan Tedder and singer Miguel will also join the show.

Sheeran will work with Christina Aguilera, while Tedder will team Adam Levine and Miguel with CeeLo Green.

“This group of wildly successful musicians will add their distinctive talents to their respective teams,” NBC’s alternative programming president Paul Telegdy said Monday in a statement.

“I know Christina, Adam, CeeLo and Blake are very much looking forward to having them come aboard.”

Cher’s newest album, “Closer To the Truth,” is scheduled to be released Sept. 24 — one day after the season premiere of “The Voice,” once again hosted by Carson Daly (“Last Call”).

On the album cover — a picture of which she tweeted out late last month — she sports platinum blond hair, which is a drastically different look for her.

The wildly popular Sheeran’s debut album went double-platinum in the US, while the album’s single, “The A Team,” received a Grammy nod for Song of the Year.

Tedder, an acclaimed music producer, founded OneRepublic and has produced artists including Beyonce, Maroon 5 (of which Levine is a member), Leona Lewis and Carrie Underwood.

Miguel won his first Grammy (Best R&B Song) for his hit single “Adorn” and guested last spring on NBC’s “Saturday Night Live.”

He was also one of Time magazine’s “100 Most Influential People.”

“The Voice” has regularly outrated its direct competitor, Fox’s “The X Factor.”
