Losing teams, losing owners

With suffering New York sports fans having to witness agonizing, losing performances daily by the hapless Jets, Giants, Knicks, Nets, Rangers, Islanders and Devils and little chance of a playoff berth for any of them, it’s almost certain that coaching changes must be made. Unfortunately, ownership changes, which won’t take place, are what is really needed.

If (perhaps) the Giants, Jets, Knicks, and Nets are all losing so many games because the players are “tuning out” their current coaches, why not shake things up by sending Jason Kidd to the Giants, Tom Coughlin to the Knicks, Mike Woodson to the Jets, and Rex Ryan to the Nets.

It’s been many years since New York hasn’t had a sports team that won’t make the playoffs. The fan is paying hundreds of dollars for a ticket to see millionaires stealing money. And out of all these greedy lazy athletes who do you want to pay to see? Nobody!

Plenty of problems in Giants letdown

Why don’t we break down the Giants season from Game 1 til the present. The offensive line was a mess right from the start. Eli Manning never had time to look down field and was pressured by Dallas throughout, which led to a couple of interceptions. Because of the lack of blocking they also had very little chance to gain yards on the ground. Combine that with the fact that Hakeem Nicks was a no show for nearly the entire season, and that pretty much gave us a look at what we could expect the rest of the way, and that’s exactly what we got. Now did Eli have a poor year, of course, but it wasn’t entirely on him. Hopefully they will have a better 2014!!!!

Some fans and at least one former player are saying that Giants coach Tom Coughlin should step down. They do make some good points. Maybe it is time to get a new young and dynamic head coach to lead the Giants. I disagree. He is a two-time Super Bowl champion coach and one of the winningest coaches in Giants history. He is very committed to winning and teaching the right way to play football. While some of his players do not share in this commitment, he still has the support of most of his players. He should be back. New players will be brought in to improve the offense and defense. Changes should be made with the offensive coordinator, defensive coordinator and special-teams coach. This is where the young and dynamic new coaches should be. Then with Coach Coughlin coming back, the player improvements and the staff changes, the Giants can return to the playoffs in 2014-15.
