WOMAN IMPRISONED BY BOYFRIEND TELLS OF ESCAPE

A woman imprisoned in her own home for nearly three weeks by her boyfriend who chained her to a baby’s crib and whipped her explained today how she waited until her torturer went to sleep and then bolted from their Bushwick home.

Wiping away tears in Brooklyn Supreme Court, Denetria Council, 21, said, “When he went to sleep, I told (his daughter) to clean her room, I fed (his baby) and I ran out.

“I couldn’t take no more beatings.”

Jason Page, 34, is on trial for allegedly beating Council so badly in his Bushwick apartment last July that her whole body was covered in welts and bruises .

The jury heard a recording of phone messages made from prison in which Page pleaded with her to say he didn’t hurt her.

“I’m looking at 22-years-to-life,” he whined. “Please don’t crack. Tell them that I didn’t do none of it.”
