CHUCK A REAL JET-$ETTER

Sen. Charles Schumer spent $144,000 in taxpayer money over six months by routinely taking charter flights around the state.

His travel bill trailed only the $152,000 spent by Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas), according to a Politico.com.

His tab grew whenever he chose a charter over a commercial flight. His $4,000 New York City-to-Albany round trip on Dec. 2 would’ve cost $200 to $400 on Delta or US Airways, the site reported.
