LEGAL LOW FOR HIRAM

Pity poor Karla Giraldo.

A judge yesterday shot down her request to undo an order of protection against her alleged batterer, Hiram Monserrate – so she could get back together with the short-fused Queens state senator.

Monserrate, who was accompanied to court by a throng of aging females wearing purple ribbons to support the burly ex-cop, has been barred from contact with Giraldo since allegedly assaulting her in December. Giraldo, court documents say, initially told cops that Monserrate broke a glass and hit her in the face with it. She now says it was an accident.
