DREYFUS LEFT FORTUNE TO HIS RX FOUNDATION

Legendary “Lion of Wall Street” Jack Dreyfus left the lion’s share of his $36 million estate to his drug foundation.

Dreyfus, who died on March 30 at age 95, had spent an estimated $100 million of his money while he was alive promoting the drug Dilantin — which he said helped him kick depression in the 1960s — and he wanted that work to continue after his death.

“I am mindful of the fact that, in accordance with the terms of this will, and my prior wills signed over the last several years, a major portion of my estate will be vested in the Foundation. I hope that my family and friends will appreciate that this is not a decision lightly made, nor one motivated by ‘Boy Scoutism,’ ” he wrote in the January 2003 will.

The Dreyfus Fund founder’s son, John, who is believed to have been given millions by his father, got his dad’s Miami Beach mansion, along with his collection of works by Mark Twain and G.I. Gurdjieff, a Greek-Armenian mystic.

Longtime girlfriend Laima Drobavicus inherited $200,000, while the $1 million-a-year head of Dreyfus’ two foundations, Barry Smith, was left $1 million, by far the largest cash bequest.
