Pedicabs will no longer be allowed to operate on bridges or in tunnels and bike lanes under a City Council bill that passed yesterday. It also requires drivers of the three-wheelers to undergo safety training.
Drivers will be licensed by the city, and the pedal-powered rickshaws will carry a license plate. Three people were hurt last month when a pedicab and a yellow cab collided on the Williamsburg Bridge.
