‘CAVE’ DRUG CASE GROWS

ALBANY — The state probe of the “man cave” drug den allegedly maintained by at least two state workers widened yesterday as Attorney General Andrew Cuomo prepared to submit the case to a grand jury.

Cuomo announced his action just hours after relatively minor charges brought against Gary Pivoda, a state janitor accused of selling drugs from his “man cave” at a state garage, were dismissed in Albany City Court.

A Cuomo spokesman said the charges were dismissed because of an expanding probe of alleged drug dealing by Pivoda and others that had been requested Friday by state Inspector General Joseph Fisch.
