Lil Wayne jail stint’s tooth delay

Maybe it was all the “Lollipops.”

Rap superstar Lil Wayne — whose song “Lollipop” was a No. 1 hit in 2008 — has won a month’s reprieve from jail so he can finish up some major dental surgery.

The rapper had been due to turn himself in to begin a one-year jail sentence yesterday after his October guilty plea to gun possession. Instead, the pint-sized performer walked in and out of Manhattan Supreme Court, beefy entourage in tow.

He did not appear to be wearing his customary, diamond-encrusted decorative tooth grill.

“This was an ongoing course of treatment involving bone grafts,” said his lawyer, Stacey Richman.

Lil Wayne’s new sentencing date is March 2.
