Livin’ large

Not only is musician Desmond Child “Livin’ La Vida Loca,” he actually wrote the Ricky Martin smash. And now Child (whose other hits include Bon Jovi’s “Livin’ on a Prayer,” Aerosmith’s “Dude [Looks Like a Lady]” and Katy Perry’s “Waking Up in Vegas”) wants a lot more than a song for his uptown co-op.

The songwriter/producer has listed his 2,700-square-foot, three-bedroom, 2½-bath residence at 1215 Fifth Ave. for $4.75 million. While the apartment does have a fancy address on Fifth Avenue’s Museum Mile, the asking price of more than $1,750 per square foot for an eighth-floor apartment near 102nd Street in East Harlem might raise eyebrows.

The apartment is completely renovated and features an extra-large living room with a woodburning fireplace, an eat-in kitchen, a media room and a laundry room. Not surprisingly for a multiple Grammy Award-winner who has written more than 70 Top 40 singles and been inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame, there’s also a rather impressive high-tech sound and lighting system. The Corcoran Group’s Barbara Brewster has the listing.

76er’s lineup

The limestone townhouse that’s on the market for $19.5 million at 26 W. 76th St. has gotten a slew of high-profile visits. We hear Matt Damon’s wife, Luciana, drooled over it, but the actor is opting against townhouse living. And Alex Rodriguez came by, with no entourage in site, for his own look.

Now, developer Adam Gordon is mulling over two bids — both from high-finance New York families with children. He’s also considering an offer to transform the 19th-century mansion into the next Kips Bay Decorator Show House. Gordon had previously turned down a request to have a gaggle of Victoria’s Secret models romp there for a month during the shooting of a reality show.

At nearly 10,000 square feet, the townhouse, listed by Brown Harris Stevens’ Wendy Maitland and Reid Price, has six bedrooms, seven full bathrooms, three powder rooms, two kitchens, a gym, a media room, terraces, a back garden and a glass-enclosed penthouse atelier.

Knick on the block

Knicks star Al Harrington recently checked out a 3,600-square-foot apartment at the Rushmore condo building on the Upper West Side. The five-bedroom, 5½-bath unit is on the market for around $6 million. We hear the athlete loved the unobstructed city and river views, but the building is far from a slam dunk. Many disgruntled buyers are trying to get out of or renegotiate their contracts because they believe the developer, Extell, missed a closing deadline. The developer says the date was a typo; buyers beg to differ.

Home Ripert

We hear that chef Eric Ripert of Le Bernardin — at the top of New York’s food chain — and his wife, Sandra, a broker at Prudential Douglas Elliman, are upgrading their digs. After selling their two-bedroom combo at 345 E. 80th St., they are moving to a bigger three-bedroom pad at 515 E. 72nd St., the Miraval Living condo conversion, with amenities like a pool, a spa and racquetball/squash/basketball court. Ripert, a big supporter of Tibet who meditates daily, will be transforming one of the rooms in his new home into a meditation room filled with some of the precious Buddhas he collects.
