Diddy throws first-ever B’klyn party for Biggie anniversary

Harlem-born rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs is crossing the bridge to throw his first-ever Brooklyn bash as a tribute to his late friend, rapper Notorious B.I.G.

“Everybody in Harlem knows you don’t usually go over the bridge to Brooklyn,” Diddy said to MTV News. “It’s a big, big deal.”

The invite-only bash will honor the 13th anniversary of the death of B.I.G., a.k.a Biggie Smalls, and will be held at Bed-Stuy club The Lab, reports Brokelyn.com.

Diddy, who is calling the dress code for the event to be Biggie-inspired, is also pushing for March 9th to become “Biggie Day,” a national hip-hop holiday.

“Bump Biggie all day, feel good and positive,” Diddy said.
