The sum of their parts

Ellen Sirot saved herself until her wedding night.

Yep, it was only then that her husband was allowed to . . . hold her hand.

For Sirot, sometimes called “the Cindy Crawford of hand models,” that was the height of intimacy and trust. For her hands, insured by Lloyd’s of London, are worth a fortune, doubling for high-wattage stars like Sarah Jessica Parker.

“It might seem obsessive,” Sirot said. “I prefer ‘beyond diligent.’ ”

Sirot is one of the city’s top “body” models — those who make a living off one part, not the whole. Each can make between $150 and $2,500 a day, according to Dani Korwin, who runs Parts Models, an agency that represents 200 body models.

But don’t think just because you’ve been complimented on your toes or knees that you can make a living playing the part of a part.

Out of the 100 inquiries she receives a week, Korwin signs on only 1 percent, citing “veinless, poreless and flawless” body parts as her main criteria.

We invited some of the best leg, hand, abs and foot models to show us their assets this week. Together, they are the Frankenstein’s monster of perfection, the perfect body, piece by piece.
