Jon Gosselin to sue Kate for primary custody of eight kids

Reality-TV star Jon Gosselin plans to file a petition for primary custody of his eight children, his attorney told TMZ Tuesday.

Jon Gosselin’s attorney, Anthony F. List, claimed Kate Gosselin is an “absentee mom” as she is a contestant on “Dancing with the Stars” in California while her children remain in Pennsylvania.

Jon Gosselin is also set to contest the court-ordered $20,000 child support amount he pays to Kate Gosselin each month. List told TMZ he may request that the arrangement be reversed so she would pay Jon Gosselin an unspecified monthly amount.

Before the highly publicized Gosselins divorced in 2009, the pair and their eight children starred in the U.S. reality show “Jon and Kate Plus 8” on the TLC cable channel.
