Mo’Nique angry over brother’s Oprah interview

Oprah can now add Mo’Nique to her growing list of problems.

The Oscar-winning actress is lashing out at the daytime queen over Monday’s show with Mo’Nique’s brother and molester, reports RadarOnline.com.

Although the “Precious” star gave her blessing to Winfrey’s request to have brother Gerald Imes appear on the “The Oprah Winfrey Show,” Mo’Nique was shocked at how the interview played out, saying that he lied and appeared less than sympathetic, reports the entertainment website.

On the show, Imes confirmed that he molested Mo’Nique for a year or two, starting when he was 13 years old and Mo’Nique was 7 or 8 years old.

“I abused and betrayed the trust of another sibling, my sister, my blood sister, I’m sorry, Mo’Nique. I’m sorry,” he said.

“I can only hope by coming forth today … that somewhere down the line … we can come back together as siblings.”

The situation has now incensed tensions between Mo’Nique and her family.

“She doesn’t know if she will ever speak to them again,” a source told RadarOnline.com.

“She was particularly upset that Gerald lied to Oprah that he molested her while she was sleeping because she was wide awake and scared of him,” said the source.

Winfrey is a victim of molestation herself, as she has stated that she was abused as a young girl.
