PSAL softball roundup: Fort Hamilton holds on vs. Grand Street

Laura Rodriguez went 1-for-4 with a home run, four RBIs and three runs scored to lead Fort Hamilton to a 9-8 win against Grand Street Campus in PSAL Brooklyn A softball Tuesday in Bay Ridge.

Kathleen Rodriguez pitched the final two scoreless innings of relief for the Tigers (4-5 Brooklyn A) to pick up the big save. Grand Street is 5-5.

Bayside 11, Townsend Harris 0: Julie Wagner went 2-for-4 with a home run and four RBIs and Kaitlyn Klein and Keren Baruch combined on a four-hitter for Bayside (8-1 Queens A-I). Harris is 1-8.

Stuyvesant 21, Art & Design 4: Alex Albright went 4-for-5 with four RBIs and four runs scored and Marlee Melendy went 1-for-3 with four RBIs and two runs to lead Stuyvesant (7-4 Manhattan A). Art & Design is 0-10.

George Washington 15, Murry Bergtraum 14: Mayelyn Gomez went 3-for-5 with a home run, four RBIs and a four runs scored and Nieves Mercado was 2-for-4 with a home run, three RBIs and two runs for GW (6-4 Manhattan A). Bergtraum is 7-4.

New Utrecht 22, Lincoln 7: Tiffany Robledo went 1-for-1 with three RBIs and two runs scored and Nicolette Sinagra was 1-for-2 with a home run, two RBIs and three runs for New Utrecht (4-4 Brooklyn A). Erica Juarbe went 2-for-3 with two home runs, two RBIs and two runs scored for Lincoln (0-10).

CLASS B

Norman Thomas 3, Beacon 1: Leanna Rosa gave up one run on two hits and struck out 14 for Norman Thomas (7-2 Manhattan B-II). She also went 1-for-1 with an RBI and a run scored. Beacon is 8-2.

Lab Museum 9, Fashion Industries 1: Sara Batka went 2-for-4 with four RBIs and a run scored to lead Lab (8-1 Manhattan B-II). Fashion is 4-5.

Transit Tech 16, Westinghouse 3: Natacha Swinson went 4-for-4 with five RBIs and three runs scored to lead Transit Tech (8-4 Brooklyn B-II). Westinghouse is 0-10.

Long Island City 23, Baccalaureate 8: Ruth Martinez and Ashley Perez each had three RBIs to lead LIC (7-3 Queens B-III). Baccalaureate is 3-6.
