Osama bin Laden plotted to kill President Obama: report

Osama wanted to kill Obama.

The mastermind of the 9/11 attacks wanted to take out President Obama as part of a plot to disrupt the 2012 presidential elections, according to a new report.

US intelligence officials who are currently analyzing over 1 million pages of data from the trove found in bin Laden’s Pakistani compound have discovered that the terror lord was not done plotting attacks on America.

TALIBAN STRIKES BACK

Among the things they have learned is that the al Qaeda leader wanted to find a way to kill Obama, ABC News reported today.

Bin Laden’s own writings discovered at his Pakistani compound indicate that he had urged his followers to assassinate Obama as a way of disrupting the elections.

“I would say this is probably very personal on bin Laden’s part, to kill (Obama) that he believes has violated the Muslim faith,” said Brad Garrett,” an ABC News consultant and former FBI profiler.

“He is incensed, inflamed, obsessed about killing the president.”

The video of bin Laden watching TV in his hideout shows that whenever President Obama came on the screen, the terror leader quickly tried to change the channel.

Details of a possible presidential assassination on the part of bin Laden comes a day after ABC News reported that al Qaeda goons threatened to take out Obama’s “granny” in Kenya in retaliation.

The threat by the al Qaeda-inspired Somali group Al Shabaab prompted Kenyan authorities to beef up security around Sarah Onyango, Obama’s 89-year-old step-grandmother, authorities said.

“In the wake of security challenges, including terror threats, I can confirm that we decided to enhance security at the home of Mama Sarah,” said Kenyan administrator Francis Mutie.

Although not a blood relative, Sarah is the third wife of Obama’s paternal grandfather, and the president has affectionately referred to her as “Granny.”

Furthermore, more details have emerged from files seized from bin Laden, including the revelation that the terror mastermind put his missives on flash drives and routinely gave them to a courier to upload at an Internet cafe.

His communications — detailed on some 100 memory sticks — are so prolific that the CIA and FBI have enlisted Arabic speakers from other government agencies.

Meanwhile, in his first public comments since bin Laden was killed two weeks ago during the US commando raid, former President George W. Bush said he got a call from Obama about the mission.

“I was eating souffle at Rise Restaurant with Laura and two buddies,” Bush said when asked what he was doing when he received the call from the president, according to ABC News.

Bush spoke during an appearance on Wednesday at a conference of hedge fund managers in Las Vegas.

“I excused myself and went home to take the call,” said Bush. “Obama simply said ‘Osama Bin Laden is dead.'”

The former president said Obama described in detail the secret mission and the thought process that went into taking out Osama.

“Good call,” Bush said he told the president.

But the former president took no credit for killing bin Laden. Instead, he thanked the intelligence community and the SEALs.
