The kids are all fright!

Haunted houses around town can be frightfully fun for families — or just frightful. Here’s our guide to keep the boos from becoming boo-hoos.

* Blood Manor, 163 Varick St.; 212-586-7829, bloodmanor.com ($35)

Fright factor: Creepy actors chase you through prop-filled spaces, including a steampunk room, a morgue and a “Parlor of the Undead” where you become a zombie.

Kid-friendly? As long as your little one isn’t turned off by a plate of writhing maggots, this one is wholesome horror fun. Kiddies under 14 need an adult chaperone.

* Killers: A Nightmare, 107 Suffolk St.; hauntedhousenyc.com ($35)

Fright factor: Blood-splattered rooms are dedicated to grisly murder scenes from notorious killers such as Jeffrey Dahmer and John Wayne Gacy. Among the murder memorabilia in the lobby is Charles Manson’s handwritten song lyrics. “We always find ways of scaring people that’s not just blatantly throwing you down the stairs,” says director John Harlacher.

Kid-friendly? Not unless you want to expose your tots to sex and cursing. No kids under 10 will be let in, and 10- to 15-year-olds must attend with an adult.

* Blackout, 115 W. 27th St.; blackouthh.com/new-york ($60)

Fright factor: This ‘‘immersive experience’’ is somewhere between a kidnapping and the Guantanamo Bay prison. Expect simulated strangling and sexual assault.

Kid-friendly? Only if you hate your children — and no one under 18 is allowed in.

* Times Scare, 669 Eighth Ave.; timesscarenyc.com ($30)

Fright factor: The only year-round haunted house in the city, the year-old venue provides a very Times Square experience. It’s hokey like a Haunted-hotel theme park ride, light on real chills, and empties into a restaurant. It relies on the loud bangs and actors jumping from the dark for fright. At less than 10 minutes, it’s also the shortest tour.

Kid-friendly? If your kids can handle Madame Tussauds, they can handle this. We give it the ghoul’d medal.
