We’re in for snow job

The cold won’t last forever, but snow is on the way.

The city is slated to get some white stuff this afternoon through the evening, with about 1 to 2 inches expected, according to AccuWeather.

“It will be enough to slow travel and cause slippery roads,” said AccuWeather senior meteorologist Dave Dombek.

This weekend will continue to be cold, with arctic air keeping tomorrow’s high around 25 degrees. Sunday’s high is expected to be 30 degrees, according to AccuWeather.

Relief from recent frigid temperatures is on the horizon, with highs expected to hit 50 degrees by Wednesday.

Today’s snow is part of a wintry storm hitting the Midwest and South.

The temperatures yesterday dipped into the teens.
