Bronx prisoner escapes police custody one day after Brooklyn man flees precinct

Another prisoner is on the loose in New York City, authorities said.

Police and the Department of Corrections are on the hunt for Jermaine Logan, 27, after he slipped out of his handcuffs when he arrived at a Bronx jail about 7:30 p.m. yesterday.

He fled from the Vernon C. Bain Center in Hunt’s Point, which is located on Halleck Street near Ryawa Avenue.

Logan had been arrested Dec.12 in Queens, and charged with petit larceny.

He is approximately 5-foot-5, 145 pounds, and was wearing a brown jacket and gray shirt, according to a Department of Corrections spokesman.

Murder suspect Brandon Santana, 24, also escaped from a Brooklyn police station on Thursday during a bathroom break.
