Edelman, wife unload Chelsea penthouse for more than $4M

John Edelman, head of Design Within Reach, and his photographer wife Bonnie — who recently sold their Chelsea penthouse at 150 W. 26th St. for $4.07 million to hedgefunder Matt Feldman, as we reported exclusively — just unloaded another loft unit they owned in the building.

The buyers of the 1,595-square-foot two-bedroom, two-bathroom property, which was listed for $2 million, are investment banker Selim Batibay and his wife Defne, a fashion production manager. Noteworthy neighbors in the building include PR gurus Paul Wilmot and Sy Presten.

Sold down the river

John Masters, of John Masters Organics, is the buyer of River House in the Hudson River Valley — an award-winning house by architect Barry Price. He bought the home for $2.69 million, less than its full $2.995 million asking price.

The 5,100-square-foot Germantown manse boasts glass walls with breathtaking views of the Hudson River and the Catskill Mountains. Set on 22.8 acres, the Japanese-inspired three-bedroom home features sliding walls, black walnut flooring and a wood deck overlooking the river; there’s also a 1,200-square-foot guest house/studio on the property.
