Lela Rose

The Who: Jaime King sat with shoe designer Jean-Michel Cazabat who provided the shoes (though we’re not sure about the awesome polka dot socks the models wore with them).

The What: Lela Rose’s line is always a study in thoughtful femininity where silhouettes are ladylike and fabrication and embellishments are full of winks and nods. This season, the collection was inspired by the enchantment and inherent darkness of the Grimm Fairy Tales. Jacquards and bleeding stripes and graphics in bright golds, greens and paprika hues introduced some of Rose’s more fantastical gowns, some of which seemed to be constructed of ballet pink ribbon, black lace and a bolt full of wicked imagination.

The Highlight: If cocktailing was a legit sport, the golden, illustrated jacquard dress with a full skirt would be its official uniform.

The Takeaway: These clothes will make you feel pretty. And witty.
