Fired clerk e-bashin’ fashion CEO: cops

A former NYU philosophy student allegedly sent e-mail threats to the CEO of fashion powerhouse Liz Claiborne after getting the boot from one of its retail shops.

Cops busted Naphtali Brooks, 21, at Penn Station Wednesday afternoon.

“All I wanted to be was the Fifth Avenue store manager. When that wasn’t granted to me, all I wanted to be was the CEO,” Brooks shrugged yesterday at his Somerset, NJ, home after being arraigned on stalking charges.

Brooks’ bad behavior allegedly began after he lost his $11.50-an-hour sales-clerk post at a Claiborne subsidiary Lucky Brand store in Chelsea.

In e-mails sent to company execs — including CEO William McComb — Brooks allegedly vowed to sabotage the company’s stock price.

Brooks withdrew from NYU earlier this month.

A Claiborne rep declined to comment.
