‘Pretty Little Liars’ finale involves a social media reveal

As “Pretty Little Liars” readies the summer finale, which has been referred to in social media circles as #WorldWarA, ABC Family announced that there will even more reason to tune in tomorrow night’s episode, “Now You See Me, Now You Don’t.”

In leading up to the October debut of “Pretty Little Liars” spinoff, “Ravenswood,” the cable network will enact a Twitter-driven campaign tomorrow night to unveil a clue for the upcoming drama by utilizing the #RavenswoodReveal hashtag during the “PLL” finale.

Along the same lines of how ABC revealed the “Scandal” season three poster, ABC Family will begin a social media chain letter with Tyler Blackburn tweeting one part of a photo that offers more details to Ravenswood through his Twitter account (@tylerjblackburn).

After Blackburn’s tweet is retweeted 1,022 times (referencing the Oct. 22 premiere), Nicole Gale Anderson (@HeyItsNicoleA), Brett Dier (@BrettDier), Britne Oldford (@BritneOldford) and Merritt Patterson (@merrittpattrsn) will then tweet out the remaining portions of the image.

During the “PLL” finale, a new promo for “Ravenswood” will also debut.

“Pretty Little Liars” is one of ABC Family’s top-rated shows.
