Lost ‘Doctor Who’ episodes unearthed

Some “lost episodes” from the BBC’s classic series “Doctor Who” have been unearthed — but no one knows, yet, what they hold.

A BBC spokesman said the network was “not quite ready” to unveil the lost episodes, but could do so by the end of this week, according to the UK’s Daily Mirror.

“Doctor Who” also airs on BBC America.

“With all the excitement in the last few days about the lost episodes we are really keen to get the information out, but there are a few delays,” an insider told The Mirror.

There are rumors that up to 100 episodes of the series thought to have been erased or discarded by the BBC have been unearthed. But details are sketchy.

It’s believed the “lost episodes” star the first two doctors, William Hartnell and Patrick Troughton, according to the report.
