FrancesaCon is real, but shrouded in secrecy

Forget the Maxim party, forget Knicks-Heat at the Garden, heck, forget the game itself, ’cause there’s only one event that matters for Super Bowl week in New York.

That would be FrancesaCon. The Post has confirmed that FrancesaCon is an actual event. It is being organized for Saturday, Feb. 1 by the folks at Next Impulse Sports.

Mike Francesa, the polarizing WFAN mid-day host, has become an internet sensation in part because of the disdain he shows toward the internet (mainly Twitter).

Speculation has likened it to Santacon, the popular December bar crawl in which hundreds of Santa Clauses fill the streets of New York for an all-day drinking session.

Does that mean there will be hundreds of Francesa lookalikes roaming Manhattan? The details are sparse: It starts at 10 a.m. in New York City according to the online flier you see here. Beyond that, the creators only would say more details will be coming in December.
