Geno is Fishin’ for more trouble

SUNDAY

Dolphins (+1¹/₂) over JETS: Gang Green compelled to march right down the line with Geno Smith, of course. Good luck with that! Dolphins have proven themselves adept at turning foes over, even against stiff competition. Miami subdued healthy Colts and Bengals squads, and had both New England and Carolina on the ropes — and Ryan Tannehill figures to have decent day in projected warmer weather against Jets secondary. Great underdog tradition of storied AFC East rivalry carries on (Dolphins, +1), for one unit.

Bengals (+1) over CHARGERS: Bolts’ Arrowhead triumph over Chiefs was a rouser, but Kansas City was deflated after suffering its first loss, was looking ahead to Denver — and was struggling to bear up under serious talent attrition along both front lines. Bengals’ defense can hurt you … they take care of wideout Keenan Allen, and this matchup should wind up under their control. Visitor short-circuits Chargers (Bengals, +1), for one unit.

LAST WEEK: 1-1. Johnny Football something less against Bayou Bengals (Texas A&M, minus one unit). Raiders snatched defeat from jaws of victory (Titans, plus one unit).

SEASON: 14-10-2.
