Daniel Day-Lewis’ son releases worst rap video ever

Move over Vanilla Ice, because there’s a new white boy on the block.

Daniel Day-Lewis’ son Gabe Day, whose full name is Gabriel-Kane Day-Lewis, has arrived in the rap game in a comic haze with the track “Green Auras” — and man, it blows. The 18-year-old currently attends Sarah Lawrence College in Bronxville and uses his leafy campus surroundings to film the least gangsta video you’ve ever seen. Talk about “Gangs of New York” — Gabe’s weed-smoking buddies look like one mean crew.

Gabe also references rapper/producer J. Cole as an inspiration and the track also samples “Let Nas Down” from Cole’s recently released “Born Sinner” album. It’s always good to send out some props to your inspiration but when he sees this abomination, Cole will likely send them straight back.

“Green Auras” is a feast of foolishness, and here are just five things wrong with the video:

1. He’s wearing a necklace shaped like Africa. It’s not quite as outlandish as it seems, as Gabe’s mother, Isabelle Adjani, is half-Algerian. But still. Wow.

2. The backward baseball cap. Because nothing says “I’m a douche” louder than that.

3. Spot the girl immediately to Gabe’s right, at 0:25 in. She’s looking at him with thinly veiled contempt.

4. “Call me Gabe Day, and not Gabe Day-Lewis/because if you try to call me out, I’m ’bout to Gabe Day lose it!” There really is no better way to stop people from making fun of you than telling everyone the thing that irritates you most. And doing it with such a bad pun.

5. “Judging someone for their dad is just as bad as being racist.” Um, no, it isn’t.
